Preferably, the gap between blades is in the range of 1.0 m to 3.0 m. Preferably, the length of the apparatus is in the range of 100 m to 1 km. In this case the collector has a number of debris-collecting tubes 1010 extending downwardly for a depth of about 20m, each tube having a diameter of about 3m in this example, and generally preferably in the range of lm to 5m.
